Group Seeks Permission for Polemical 'Shut Up Fag' Display

“Be thankful you don’t need a straight pride month.” – Archbishop Chaz Stevens, Mount Jab Church.

BOCA RATON, FL - February 23, 2022 - The Mount Jab Church has sought permission from the government of Florida for the display of a polemic art piece poster 'God and the GOP Hates Fags.' The artwork features crisscrossed gay pride inspired, rainbow-colored duct tape and includes the names of those Florida state legislators voting for the bill's passage.

Expected to be met with 'engorged' resistance, the Church's application for State Use Property Reservation seeks to remind all most some Floridians that 'straight people can have their pride month when being straight becomes illegal.'

Over the past decade, the Church’s founder, Archbishop Chaz Stevens, has seeded the Florida capitol grounds with numerous exhibits, including the very famous Pabst Blue Ribbon and Gay Pride Festivus Poles. And this past holiday season, the Rotunda saw two six-foot tall standees of Dr. Anthony Fauci and Fox personality Tucker Carlson.

Our work has been routinely featured on Towleroad, Pink News, and HuffPo Queer.
